... water is pure salt water and therefore marine species are known to be in the water including sharks!!! On my return to the hostel, it was time to pack again. I had tried to keep things tidy in my bag but a complete repack was inevitable (why did I put my shoes at the bottom!). I am now back at the airport- had to leave the hostel at 4.40am local time, so another early flight off to Auckland! Very excited to finally be getting to New Zealand.
