... a lychee in appearance, but segmented a bit like an orange. It was lovely – very juicy and tasted a bit like a nectarine and a lychee. Need to go to the supermarket to get some more of these as they don’t sell them in the UK. We are on the hunt for more exotic fruits as Australia seems to have an abundance of them.

Its easy to get an object, wrap it up and then splash the name of the area on it and flog it to the tourists. I immediately love Surfers Paradise. Everybody I have spoken too has hated it. ... style, has a swimming pool and a nice garden, why is there nobody here? It is 3 km from the city but walking distance to pubs, restaurants, supermarkets and the beach. We recommend it! Priorities: Hard Rock Café, of course! I have an Aussie burger, would you believe? It has lots of onions and beetroot. Afterwards, we walk along the beach and in the pub street. ... We ended up moving to a place in Broad Beach, which was a great choice. For one, the new hostel had a basketball goal! I didn't realize I was going through withdrawal, but I think I was because I thoroughly enjoyed being able to shoot some hoops. Plus the place was clean and had free laundry facilities. ... I headed off to work at Peterpans again.
