and unfortunately for us and the students the Royal Exhibition Building was
being used for them to sit end of year examinations, so we never managed to see
inside the building or the documents recording the Federation of the Australian
nation state. So instead we made our way back to the city via the ‘long way’,

... We got back in the evening and I had a quiet and fairly early night. Three nights in a row with not enough sleep completely exhausted me but that is in no way a complaint. I'd have got up at 4.50 the next morning to see that sunrise again. Saturday morning I checked out of the hostel and headed to catch a tram to meet Annabelle. She lives in the suburbs with her family and they had kindly offered to let me stay for 3 nights. There house was lovely and I got my own room with ...
... a great experience, you learn so much, visit new and interesting places and you get to meet new people who are usually quite willing to share their experiences and recommendations with you.
