Basically the only exciting thing to report is that we had breakfast at NOON. WHAT THE. I hope the house was not offended. Or lonely at 8am, when we didn't wake up.
We did also have a lovely lunch at Koskelo with Maggie before having to say goodbye to her. It was great fun having her over! We played lots of card games too, and Maggie taught us a new one to add to our repertoire.
We had to head off though as Antti had a volunteers meeting for the music festival. I ran into Mia, from Lukio, who invited me to come play beach volleyball with her and some other Lukio chickas. It was heaps of fun! We all sucked pretty bad but we joked and caught up on all the gossip from the last 2 years. After that we had lollies and junk and then had to part ways. Ultimate summers day :) ...
... was chief photographer and I went a little nuts, so I will leave the rest of this post to the well dressed guests of her party.
I did get to see the lovely Julie again which was so great! I also got to catch up with Jarmo and Doris.
... of a party! Eeva was such a darl and had got some pink sparkling for some silly speeches and she made us all some yummy nachos. Eeva also made the most delicious sangria ever.
Seru and Joona also came around for the celebrations for a while. We played Card against humanity and was just generally frivolous and party like. ...
Drove to Kemi, 20 km east of Swedish border, on the Baltic. What a contrast to when we had camped on the Swedish side of the Baltic in icy conditions on June 17th. Glorious warm sunshine. Probably saw our last reindeer, although roadside signs still warn us to watch out for them. Drove along the sea edge to Oulo and stopped for coffee at the market square on the sea front.
