0730. Woke up & we all started packing & cleaning up. 0930. We all took off for McDonald's. Not sure why because they were planning to eat Kim Son buffet in Houston for lunch. 1000. We parted ways from everyone. Mando & I made plans to meet up with Jeb for lunch. 1300. Had lunch at Nit Noi. Jeb got to meet Mando & Ava. It was a nice lunch. Good to see him after over a year. 1900. Got home finally. Unpacked & rested. It was an awesome trip! Can't wait for next ...

0800. Woke up with a little face looking at me. Slept on the top of 3 bunks. 0830. Made some bacon pancakes for breakfast. It was delicious! 1000. Back on the beach. There was a guy there who had surf boards & SUPs for everyone to demo. Cạu 5 tried a surf board but ended up pulling something. I got a SUP & had a blast tho it was rough! We had two days of bike riding here and spent three nights. I think it was our second day of riding that we saw gators. I had just sent David a text, saying we were hunting for gators, and I looked out on the lake and saw one swimming in. The park really cleared out today with only 3 campers on our loop. ... we look. It was a fine gesture and returns some of my faith in human nature.

We'll be moving on tomorrow via an old/new route for us. We'll be avoiding Interstate 10 and traveling through small towns on US90 Alternate. It will be a nice break for us and hopefully more relaxing. It's beautiful and green everywhere here, so we hope to enjoy it at a more leisurely pace. You just might agree...

... Farm to Market" road. There are thousands of County Roads here too, but the FMs are somewhat unique. We've seen them in other southern states too. I imagine that they are some of the earliest routes in the agricultural areas.
