    ... observed Pink Shirt Day and did anti-bullying activities at the different levels. That was neat since it started in NS. This week is Book Week with activities each day. Tim’s voice is one of the secret sound bites reading a Dr. Zeus extract that the kids have to guess. And yes, besides all these extra activities, we’re still plodding through our curriculum which has to be mastered! The third progress report goes out this Friday.

    ... not speak English. We were debating what to do when a young woman coming out of restaurant asked me if she could help. She came in with us and helped us order - so kind of her! After lunch we walked to the Guangzhou Zoo and spent a couple of hours there. It is one of the largest zoos in China, but only cost us about $3 each to get in. After the park we were all getting pretty hungry and walked to another shopping and dining street.     ... about 20 minutes through a city we don't know with all our luggage. Needless to say I was becoming progressively more light-headed. That being said, it was incredibly cool to finally see a part of China, and the area near our hotel is totally decked out in Lunar New Year decorations. I hope I will be able to appreciate them all the more tomorrow after I've had a chance to get a proper sleep. Time for some ...

    ... it was through the mall around behind. It would have been very hard to find had they not pointed us the right way. We checked in, rested for about 15 minutes, then headed out for dinner. This part of Beijing Road is a pedestrian street, all decorated with lights and red paper lanterns. We were very tired, so we didn't spend too much time searching for a restaurant.
