    ... and convenient choice is Bend. However, having visited this high desert destination before, we balk and instead choose Sisters. Sisters is a bit off the path of our destination, but we had visited their a long time ago while on vacation with our kids and have fond memories of trees and water and a cool town.

    Mileage: 68 miles Altitude Gain: 3800 ft. Ride Time: 6:15 hrs. Total Time: 8:5 hrs. Terrific day of riding today! We left early because we thought that the climb up to Mt. Bachelor pass was gong to be hard but it was only a 5%-6% grade and we did it in about 3 hrs. After cresting the pass we were greeted bay a magnificent view of 5 snow capped peaks.
