Much to everyone's surprise, an unprecedented heat wave has begun attacking the great Northwest. Not for nothin’, but it’s starting to get hot here. Today we started to explore central Oregon. As we traveled up Rt. 62, the Crater Lake Highway, we came upon the Mill Creek waterfall. Without a convenient spot to photograph the waterfall, we had to scoot out onto the road, grab a couple of shots and move on. Fortunately the road was not heavily traveled.

Mileage: 68 miles Altitude Gain: 3800 ft. Ride Time: 6:15 hrs. Total Time: 8:5 hrs. Terrific day of riding today! We left early because we thought that the climb up to Mt. Bachelor pass was gong to be hard but it was only a 5%-6% grade and we did it in about 3 hrs. After cresting the pass we were greeted bay a magnificent view of 5 snow capped peaks.
