        ... level paths round the hillside, shaded, and just wondrous. We walk through pines still, and beeches, and now quite a lot of chestnut and oak trees, and even saw some holly. The leaves are barely showing signs of autumn yet, occasionally a touch of yellow, but mostly still heavy with green leaves.
