... backdrop. We visited a market that was literally full of random old things like shoe brushes and brooms, then went to a little souvenir shop and bought a few trinkets (no, not shoe brushes). The city doesn’t exactly have a ton of big tourist attractions—our main goal was just to check out and learn a little bit about the culture.

... complaining, she was quite flat. So I researched on my tablet places that we could go outside the city for a fun day out to cheer her up - and also to cheer me up as I'd received some slightly bad news about work from home that was worrying me.

So that was how I came to read of the Matka Lake and Canyon, only a half hour bus ride out of Skopje and seemingly a place of great natural beauty; so I resolved that we'd go there the next day for an exploration.

... lines for Jess to be walked into the church by her father. On entry the 3 priests began beautiful harmonized singing & until the actual marriage ceremony were out of sight of the congregation. The whole service was sung apart from the vows. It was solemn, elegant & beautiful. The hands of the bride & groom were bound together with cloths after their vows, they took holy communion with bread made in a round loaf& the wine was in a red& gold ...

... Daniela said both Macedonia and Greece have airports, highways and roads named after Alexander the Great. Passed the massive US embassy.
