      ... br> Lunch: Goode’s Barbecue for Texas style barbecue (brisket). Yum-yum! Brisket, cole slaw, Texas toast with jalapeņos, and beans. Jim had pinto beans with jalapeņos while Barbara had Austin style baked beans (beans, pork belly, pieces of brisket, red bell peppers, onions and apples-what a surprise). Both were delicious.

      Next we thought we’d shop at the Galleria Mall. Big mistake! ...

      ... now is that astronauts will travel to Mars in the 2030s on a 3 year expedition. Great film about lofty goals.

      It was a good day. Jim and I both thought the Cape Canaveral tours were better. The Johnson Space Center looked dated and old. And they had “sold” the center of the lobby to Ripley’s Believe It or Not with science related displays, but not space related. It was very curious. ...

      ... the formal hoopla and instead of participating in all of that, we put on jeans, long-sleeved t-shirts, sock and sneakers (it's cold on our deck) and go to the top of the ship for the "Movies Under the Stars." Well, it was not up there! Our cabin balcony was in the shade and pretty windy - it is gorgeous elsewhere.We ate 4 (little) bags of popcorn apiece while watching "The 100 Foot Journey", a cute movie.

      ... In fact, that night we all did a family cycling class for 45 mins - you should have seen Matt's face by the end - beetroot red and his shirt was dripping. He and Sam really pushed themselves and were very relieved when the class was over.
      One of the things the kids suggested implementing whilst we're here was taking turns making dinner with me, which was a great idea. Matt opted to go first and he made spaghetti bolognaise with a side salad. ...
