And so after a long flight - 12+ hours - we arrived in Paris, grabbed a quick drink and then on to Birmingham. A short flight to Paris before we boarded Air France plane for the long flight to Vietnam. We dozed a bit, read a bit and watched films a bit to while away the time. We had learned that Friday night was when the Black Diamond Folk Club met in the Globe pub, near the bottom of the Farmers Bridge Locks. Started off early in the morning, well early for a weekend morning, and drove up to The Marina Pub on the Ashby canal, for breakfast, the pub sits right on the edge of the canal and has the Trinity Marina behind it, a truly pleasant spot.
