... restaurant at 9:30pm and it felt so early since the sun was still out! The taxi driver said we had to try the Alberta steak so we ordered the ribeye, a quesadilla and a bottle of wine. We were sitting next to a family who we assumed was also screwed by AirCanada. Anyways the meal was delicious and totally comp'd by the airline. Big plus. Lots of huge wheat fields and cattle ranches with the mountain ranges running along to the west.

We could not find a decent campground so kept driving up to Calgary. We had no idea that Calgary was that big (1.1 million) and we hit it at 5:00 PM Friday rush hour.
