We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It looked like I would be able to make it to Lago Maggiore before dinner time, get some snacks and drinks and go for a cruise along the lake shore.

We collect our gear from the hotel and ride the few hundred metres to Camping Nufenen, where we had intended to pitch camp last night until the weather intervened.

Now it is sunny and inviting. We check in and set up the tents. It's still ...

Morning expresso at Lago Di Como

... in the sun while looking at the lake.

I found a small roadside café on a hill overlooking the lake. The expresso was good! I sat there for a while soaking up the sun, but I knew I had a lot of driving to do if I was going to make it to Pisa before dark. Still without a GPS but I had written names of cities and road numbers on a piece of paper as a reference.
