Sam and I woke up and had some brekky before going straight back to sleep until it was time to check out. We have had so many nights out in concession lately that we just needed more rest.
We went over to Dona Vera's place to see Alex and Jess's family one last time. Alex and Jess had some stuff to do, so while they were out Sam and I walked to the bus station to get our bus tickets for tonight. We were off to Rio de Janeiro!
... of the gutter. We managed to find a way to control what was playing on the TV's throughout the hotel. A bit of a voyeuristic view for us watching people suddenly being exposed to a ridiculous comedy show being played at a volume that was far beyond regular speaking levels. Then it was more goodbye's with more people before heading back tot he hostel

... liked the outfits of a group that all wore pink crocheted berets. They took turns to sing, dance and drum in front of an altar in the middle of the street. There were food and drink stalls and stalls selling clothes and crafts. Entry to the festival was by donation of 1 kilogram of dried food per person (we took a bag of rice and a bag of beans) to be distributed later to people who need it.
