... Central Park South, I looked up and saw a familiar face. A statue of Sir Walter Scott and just opposite, another of Robert Burns! I then managed to tick off iconic sights rapidly by accident; 5th Avenue, Avenue of the Americas, Bloomingdale's were all clocked and given the nod as I walked around in the vicinity of the park with a large coffee in hand. Two more encounters. First, I gave a tour touter by the carriages such a supreme glare, he was stunned into asking ...

... and ate lunch. On the way out, we kept walking and began looking for the Empire State Building. At some point we lost sight of it - because we were walking underneath it! A little Ole Ole Ole chant broke out too so we knew we weren’t alone in our Habs fandom. After we left the bar we walked to Times square and picked up a huge Black & White cookie. These cookies are famous in NYC and they are so darn good. Like little cakes topped with ...

... that a month, having crammed so much in but home is were the heart is and in a few hours I'd be Linda, Katie and Dandy Lyons.

The Virgin Atlantic flight VA4 left the runway shortly before 7 o'clock local time with me, squashed into my economy seat. I struggled to eat my chicken casserole without elbowing the ladies either side but managed to down the large scotch and ice without any difficult. I closed my eyes and soon drifted away onto the astral ...
