Our hike was half the distance, so we hiked 3 miles down to the half way rest stop then 3 miles back so a 6 mile roundtrip.

Unfortunately after that Helen fell down a hole in the boat and sprained her ankle.....amusingly (for us) we then rounded the next corner and there was an air rescue helicopter landed on the beach. ... 00 noon. We took the tickets and then we just killed time until the tour. The boys weren't overly impressed with the Dam. It was not their favorite thing to do but I really enjoyed it and we all learned a lot about the history and ingenuity of an earlier generation. The Hoover Dam is one of the 7 modern wonders of the world.
