    ... eggs, bacon, sausages, blueberry pancakes, cereal.....), made our sandwhiches for lunch and then set about packing up our beds and equipment and reloading the raft with another fireline. Today was a clear day and the sun was hot, so the soakings we received in the rapids were very welcome! At around 11, we stopped at diamond creek and hiked/climbed up to a waterfall (on the Hualapi indians' land). This involved using 'Indian ladders' to climb up the rocks. ...

    ... got onto the raft with two other families with kids a similar age to Mark and Tom, which was a lot of fun. Finally at around 8.30 we set off along the river. We were lucky that the day was overcast, so although it was hot, it was not as scorching as it could have been. the first stop was to see some Pictoglyphs from the Anasazi people (like in Monument Valley), that had been painted onto the canyon walls.     ... and the construction companies to support the construction of the Hoover Dam in the 1930's. The Town was built in a triangle, with all businesses within walking distance. It has a warm, home-town feel. There are interesting sculptures throughout the city. Jim enjoyed some beer purchased at the Boulder Dam Brewing Company. We stopped and I enjoyed Birthday Cake Ice cream to celebrate my birthday.

    ... frantic! Needless to say we were very relieved to hear that they were found safely and back at our room. After some time regrouping in our room we headed off for some retail therapy where we all got some sneakers before heading back for a swim!. Once again we headed off to a variety show called the ultimate "Variety" show which was fantastic! It included a comedian, magician , acrobats and more the kids loved it.
