... on tv. We took the funicular to the top of Monte Solaris and walked down through a pretty forest. Not much to tell. But what a couple of days to live and be.
All good things must come to an end, and so did our time in Anacapri. By midday on Friday we had to take our leave, Domenico driving us back to the port in reverse of our arrival. I successfully asked a policeman where to buy tickets, and we boarded another high speed ferry for ...

... Remarkably, we made it to all the stops unscathed and we thoroughly enjoyed the island and all of its wonders! We took the chairlift up to the tippity top! ... the train had good brakes! We then walked around again seeing lovely walkways and some very expensive shops. Apparently a lot of the rich and famous have holiday homes here - I guess they can afford those shops! It is a very quaint place with lovely buildings and alleyways and we really enjoyed our time there. There was also some very pretty gardens. I have found in Sorrento and Capri the hydrangeas are ...

... specialised inlaid furniture using the traditional Sorrento method. The work was remarkable.. They were keen to make sales and tried to convince several of us to buy one spectacular table. They offered to package it up and freight it to our doors. The cost was only 4000 euros, or $6000. It was a great piece but I decided against it. Two reasons. Not consistent with anything else I have and the cost! It was pretty amazing though. He insisted you could put hot or cold or wet things ...
