Up early and off to the harbour to catch the early morning ferry. The jet boat took us to the grand port and we took the funicular railway to the main town. It was all very chocolate boxy, bit like a large and smarter version of Port Merion! Very exclusive and expensive shops everywhere. We visited the gardens and had a coffee and took a bus to Anacapri, a little town ...

We then caught another bus down to the port, had a lemon soda whilst we waited for our ferry - a bigger one this time (ferry, that is) though the trip back to Sorrento took a little longer - about 40 minutes. Back to Sorrento, we were driven to the hotel, had a quick change and we were in the pool to cool down. Just what we needed. Next change, rest, dinner and bed. Another rest day tomorrow. Must buy a ...

... number of important people have lived on the island including two Roman emperors over the years. It is now a big tourist resort area during the months of July/August because of its beaches, charm and beauty. Finally, Mariah Carey is suppose to have a home on the island according to locals. However, she has not been seen on the island in two years! Could it be that she has been voted off the island? LOL! ...
