Great Christmas. Started last night with a service at the Truchtersheim church. Catholic service in French. Couldn't understand a thing but the priest was very tallented. He did some great hands free singing. He needs a new cracker, he broke his one, at least he shared it! We then went back to Paul and Odell's (fabs rents) house for dinner and had a full cooked salmon and a huge French dessert. Continued today with present giving and ...

... to bed, we also planned our day when we get to Zurich, as we arrive just before lunch, so I don't think our hotel room will be ready. So we will have time to explore when we get there, before we can check in. I was glad we made Strasbourg our Christmas stop over. This was our final stop for the afternoon, then as we made our way back to our hotel, via some small ...

... automatic ordering machines. Touch screen computers that take your order so you don't have to queue. The best thing ever. Anyway we continued onto the markets after waiting ages for Linda and Ashleigh to finish shopping... The city is coated in lights. Every street and building has Christmas lights and decorations! The markets were excellent. We browsed the various stalls of Christmas decorations, ornaments, nicknacks, crepes, pizza baguettes, toffee ...

Seafood (we meant Christmas) in France.

Other than the charm of the christmas markets and cathedrals, Strasbourg was a great escape from Freiburg (satisfied all our seafood cravings)! Will we come back again? Most probably, but we'd make a beeline for the supermarket just to lug home a luggage full of fresh seafood which Freiburg clearly lacks. ...
