trip, and we had a great time, although I think we were a bit unlucky to catch a spell of not such good weather. We have learnt a lot, like the areas which we like best and which places are likely to get consistently dry warm weather. We tried lots of different campsites and now have an idea which sort best suit our needs.
We enjoyed our month away and will probably do it again next year, bur most likely for a bit longer...... !
... on our internal journeys in Australia. As Glenna is still a little unstable on her feet we have asked for transport to get her to the boarding gate and to pick her up on arrival so we wait and see.
Transport arrived 10 minutes early but all was ready - had the pleasure of a great Mercedes limo to take us to Heathrow and Glenna discovered the driver had a very similar 'golfing' background so our one hour journey ...
... informative and once again lots of history.. When we returned it was just a short walk to the London eye ....wow what a view of London etc ....more videos and pics attached.. After a half hour turnaround on the eye we walked to Buckingham Palace ..the queen was not at home ..currently on holidays in Scotland.. Took more pics of the palace then walked to Trafalgar ...
... with a much needed cuppa, but soon sipping cider and cucumber, out the back, on the roof and around tiller at rear...lots of fun and everyone so relaxed and enjoying it all. Gradually out into country fields, cows, sheep, hawthorn hedgerows again with occasional beautiful cottages and gardens on canal edge....through Tilt bridges (opening them first after undoing a pin), and under many little stone bridges, crossing a few little viaducts ...
Sorry for the delay in writing this blog. I've been busy playing tourist and trying to get to see everything I want to see and do. I didn't take in to account how exhausted I would be but really I should have known after being laid up for so long!
Now on to the good news! I spent a lovely few days in Fairy Oak Hampshire with Marlene and John. We managed to get around to see a few things ...
