I first visited Bruges alone in 2007 and had loved it so I was keen to take Anya there. But this time we decided we would take the motorbike across onto the Continent for the first time. In the car, Anya falls asleep within minutes no matter how bumpy the road, loud the music or stunning the scenery is, she just nods off and is dead to the world. About 45 minutes after getting off the Eurotunnel at Calais, just ...
