Up and out too early for another awesome breakfast we jumped on a bus departing at 9 to the Osa peninsula on the south east side of the country. Similar set up to last time, though we stopped every two hours for a toilet break. We also stopped to swap buses for no apparent reason.

Roadworks outside of town delayed us slightly but we still rolled into Puerto Jimanez by 4pm. Too late for the local bus, we grabbed supplies in the local supermarket and jumped ...

... hot coffee without melting our faces. Once the coffee was gone, the ride was amazing. It was like riding the scream machine at Six Flags, but over (in) the rivers and through the woods with a beach on your left the whole way. ... heart of any kid I’ve ever met. He told me all about the different kinds of fruit trees as we passed them and picked some Mamón for us. They remind me of Lychee, and I think are the same as the ones Josh and I ate in Vietnam except those were red. These are lime green balls with long yellow spikey hairs sticking out of them. ... and it does seem much cooler and it is so interesting to look up into the mangrove trees and see what is up there. There were lots of different crabs moving up and down those fascinating roots reaching down into the water. There were some crabs I called ghost crabs because they were white with red pincers! We finally got to the point where we could go no further and had to turn back.
