... was a linneated woodpecker up on a dead tree and was backlit so beautifully. We then came across a pair of giant ringed kingfisher. we think they must have a nest in the area by the sounds they were making and the fact they were staying close to where we saw them. Having a craving for Chinese food I decided a savoury veggie fried rice with omelette strips and an accompanying tropical fruit salad. Simple but delicious - I provided the group a meal to last the day and further supported my new skills on the stove, ditching the recipe book, simply cooking with the senses.
