... Natwest decided it would crash so I was pretty screwed for getting any money and was stuck in this shithole city.

I thought they had just blocked my card, as they tend to be useful and helpful like that – but yeh I couldn’t transfer any money onto my Travelcard or afford to get the bus from out of there. Was getting a bit panicky – used the internet café, but the kid working there was less helpful than the banana I’d left in my bag, which then became ...

Day 46 - The long and winding road

This is a top pick!

... There was a funny movie, although in spanish called The Zookeeper or something? At times we would look out the window to see the beautiful landscapes of Mexico. We saw another volcano in the distance. The mountains were amazing as we got closer to Oaxaca. On the way out you go under the dolphin pool and watch them swim, this was another great part of the experience. They also had a few dugongs, ...

Since the aquarium was a fail, we started walking around all the street market stalls in the area. We picked up a lot of great gifts for family and also some more great stuff for ourselves. After we had spent enough money and got all the things we needed we headed back to the hotel to freshen up and get ...

Day - 43 First impressions of Veracruz.

... was not like any other zocalo, in Mexico City and Puebla they are lined with restaurants and cafes and great old building and cathedrals. Veracruz zocalo is just a small park area with some play equipment and one cafe, the shops around it are clothing and shoe shops. We were hot and hungry and Veracruz didn't seem to have much to offer. Luckily we came across and Subway and got some food. After that we headed in the direction of the sea to see if ...
