... sort of guidance. I felt like a proud parent when they safely returned to me that afternoon.
I was certainly sad to see them go late into the night on Sunday, but I was happy to have the opportunity to see them after two months away from home, and an unspecified amount of time left until I return to America...

... abundant, as well as whitewashed houses tucked away, only accessible by foot. Landing at Amalfi we discovered a hotel (how they built it I don't know) which is €1000 per night - amazing view! We explored the narrow cobbled streets which boasted a town square (with the fountain) - and which we have discovered charge double prices compared to the shops situated away from the square. ... of nicer train probably wouldn't want to steal it anyway. The train stops at Barletta to let passengers on and off. It looks like a pretty and well-scrubbed place, with more nice brick and stone buildings. Italy is less white in terms of buildings than Greece. I listen to one of the new passengers on the train regale (in English) her seat-mate with first her knowledge of cameras, then with her political party's grand plans. Rosie, Bre, Jenny, Jan and I all meet and are pumped for the pizza. Unfortunately, the rain was a bit too much for Bre and she didn't end up coming, I was wearing boots and a rain coat, bought a umbrella and my clothes were still soaked. After exploring the two excavated towns, I took the train from here to Napoli to try the original pizza restaurant.
