Monaco: The best of it all in one little country
... floating in a beautiful, serene place lost to time.
Our dinner at VistaMar in the Hermitage Hotel (One of Monte Carlo/Monaco's top 10 restaurants) was complete with foie gras, sea bass, lamb, chocolate fondant and Grand Marnier Souffle... a perfect ending to an amazing meal. We finished the night in a small club cut into the side of a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean.

Day 16 - The Monte Carlo
... just incase you missed that try have both now blown €25 on failure) Todd made money though he made €35 not knowing really what was happening and annoying a lady who had thousands on the table in chips. Todd and I made a dance to rub in our victory and meg and jake both have to deal with the guilt of wasting there money. It was an awesome experience and we learnt that jake has issues with gambling ( I had to drag him away literally :)) ...
We return to the ancestral manse
... which was within smelling distance of La Golondrina. We rarely ate there—it was hardly like going out—but it seemed appropriate for this visit. From our table on the terrasse of the restaurant we could see the roof of our old house.
Finally it was time to walk, as we’d done so many times, under the arches of the thick city wall into the bustling core of St Paul de Vence. The same tourists milled up and down the stone paths, holding dripping ...

Nell'ultimo mese è già successo di tutto, io ho cambiato reparto e Giuliano è stato operato (così partiamo più tranquilli); non ho ancora preparato il bagaglio perchè ho la testa ancora piena di cose da sistemare in casa.
Spero che questa notte sia tranquilla, così domani pomeriggio mi cimento con zaini e borsone.
Vado a ricompormi per lavorare.
