Plus a headwind along the valley and for most of the 2nd climb. Big day. It was a long way on the first climb before we saw the 10km to summit sign, and endless on the Port de la Bonaigua into the wind to the same point.

car, thankfully we called the hostel and received directions, and we were not

In the afternoon i did manage a walk into town with Imogen from some lunch; we shared a set menu and had a local stew; surprisingly filled with chickpeas and some vegetables with the meat and broth, and typically prepared trout.
