We arrived this afternoon after driving via Toulouse. The drive up the mountains takes two hours and is a combination of winding roads and tunnels a few times all you could see was a mountain 100 metres ahead and no obvious road until you go around a bend. Its one of the prettiest towns I've ever seen. Snow all gone but now gearing up for summer hikers. Wine 2 euro a bottle, beer 2.50 a pint.I had a few electrical problems but after an hour with ...

We stopped their for lunch as it was a beautiful town right between the cliffs at the start or the Pyrènèes. After lunch ...

... people come to the country - tax free shopping! Around 80% of the shops were selling luxury goods - cameras, tablets, watches etc.

Even in the local supermarket, beside a bunch of bananas was bulk packs of cigarettes and flashy cameras. In many ways it was much the same as Liechtenstein - luxury shops in front of stunning mountain views.

I then carried on ...

... notice a definite difference in the architecture of the buildings between what we have been seeing in France and what we saw in Andorra. The buildings were of a different shape and brightly coloured.

La Seu d'Urgell was a pleasant find and we spent longer then planned exploring the town. We visited the Santa Maria Cathedral, St Miguel Chapel and the museum of La Seu d'Urgell where we met an old Spanish man who took a great fondness to Traci ...
