... Missouri River" while I'm away. ...rivers can't sense sarcasm, right? Just last year the river rose over 30 feet, filling Cooper's store with over 18 inches of muddy water.

Anyways, really hope that doesn't end up being foreshadowing. Our plane leaves on August 4. Starting to really feel the prelude to adventure!

... so worried about the cosmetics of it but really wanted it to be in functioning. Pat and Judy are on their way to pick up the RV and then Pat is headed to Big O Tires to check and doubled-check the condition of all the tires as well as replacing the one that blew and keeping the spare for the next time.
So we're back on schedule and will be leaving Columbia in the morning and heading to Grand Island NE. Stay tuned for more adventures!

We had just finished for about ten minutes when we heard a very loud "bang"! Since Pat did not lose control of the RV, we knew it had to be a back tire which had blown. We drove slower and exited at the very next off-ramp. A couple of truckers helped Pat change the left outside (there are two on the back on each side) back tire.

Well...here I am in St Louis. This city has so much history and in it's own old way is really quite beautiful. It is hard to know where to go though. I didn't eat breakfast so I could stop at some soul food restaurant perhaps and have me a locally cooked vegetable plate or something. Easier said than done! An incredible sight, the huge animals very much like a seal but much larger had huge noses and made a crazy noise, and their bodies ripple with flubber as they sliver onto the beach. They lined the entire shoreline, as if like sand bags at the waters edge, it was unbelievable. They loved to fight as they used their mouths to battle.
