Carsten has kindly given us a lift to the railway station and waits with us till the train arrives. Right on time as usual! An ICE (Inter Capital Express) fast train. First Class to Hamburg. Settle back and watch the countryside fly past. This is the way to travel, no waiting at airport terminals, just comfortable seats and complimentary arrival drinks! ... the day was to find a delicious meal to please our hungry bellies. We traveled back towards the lake and found a lovely restaurant called La Barca. It had a variety of different menu items ranging from meatballs to pizza. Since the weather was still beautuful, we chose to eat outside right alongside the lake to enjoy the last few hours of sunset. ... stop was the Black Forest where we stopped at a place that had been making cuckoo clocks for generations. He showed us how they ticked, literally and cuckooed. Was fascinating but we weren't interested in owning a clock and after seeing the prices and sizes of some of them, definitely weren't! ... an experience to jump out of a helicopter and skydive above the Swiss Alps. The journey to the top was a slow trip which took just under 2 hours. The scenery and seeing snow for the first time more than made up for the slow trip.
