... electives, so we got on the 630am train and were to the mountain by 9am and caught the gondola right at the bottom of the mountain by 930am. This mountain was huge - many connected resorts that we couldn't even hit them all in one day, but it was awesome! Much more groomed then Engelberg, so conditions were a bit better and of course snowed in the afternoon, so we had some fresh pow pow! We had lunch at a great spot on the mountain - of course ...

... with detailed street signs over every entrance. Mozart's birthplace happened to be in the center of the street - the tall yellow house cannot be missed. After purchasing a few Mozartkugel (made of Marzipan, nougat, and dark chocolate), we pressed on towards Mozartplatz. Here, the streets opened up and offered amazing views of the New Residenz and Glockenspiel, Old Residenz, and the Salzburg Cathedral.

... get out at 6 am ( no problem as we have still our jet lag) and go skiing in Kitzbuehel together with our friends Dirk and Anette . A phantastic day and exactly the way of life we were dreaming of when we decided to go to Prien. When now also our NL friends would be closer the world would be perfect!! ... the scenery would be nice...but it is breathtaking! The Alps are gigantic. We have seen several patches of pasture way up on the - and why - did they do that?! What we're seeing so far is mostly treed, with fall colors coming in. There are some rock faces too, all pretty dang steep.
