I want to go to Ottawa but not with the rest of the people.
It will be fun to go alone or just with my house mate.
But not the big group of people.
I want to book my stuffs soon, but I am starting to feel the drag of having an ...
... a lot. The calories counting is still driving me crazy. I think I make my friend a little annoyed too with this abnormality I have. Because she always ask me "Are you seriously just going to eat one chip at a time?", "You sure you're full with only this?", "Don't you need meat?", "Just cook another wrap lah", "Can we have pizzas?". And I feel bad each time I have to answer these questions.
But I don't want my habits to spoil ...
Now I know why dear is so insistent in sticking to his diet and gym routine.
I feel bad about discouraging him the other time.
Initially, it was because I didn't have a really good impression with intensive gymming. Find it unnatural and unhealthy.... Especially when he said ...
... s Marsh (if there were a channel through St. John’s Marsh). The next part was like Black River upriver from the country club, only a bit deeper (but not by much). Then we went through farm country with cow pastures and cornfields. The channels are narrow but very well marked. So well, in fact, that a chart is almost unnecessary.
Our first set of locks was a flight of three. Flight locks are where the lock opens ...
The wind died this morning allowing us to shift over to the fuel dock for diesel and pumpout. We loaded 214.6 gallons. Having traveled 617 miles that computes to just about 2.9 miles per gallon. Not too much worse that a giant motorhome I would guess.
After that operation we traveled downriver to Heart Island and Boldt Castle. We docked in a little heart shaped lagoon. Boldt Castle was really quite amazing. I won’t go ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Bonnie Castle Resort Alexandria Bay
My husband & I stayed at Bonnie Castle on Columbus Weekend. Our room was clean & well kept. The staff was terrific! The restaurant has the most wonderful food and the bar was fun. This is an older resort...some repairs should be made, but I think the price, the views, the food and the staff made it at steal! We will definitely stay there again.
I just return from a weeks stay at the Bonnie Castle. I read the review before I went and glad that I did. The room they gave us was not that clean and we could not open the air conditioner vent due to the age. I had mentioned this to the head of our group. He stated that we were to all be together and I should not have had that room. I went back and they gave me another room and acted like it was a hardship. The people across from me never got their ac working. This is a beautiful area...resort has many meanings to different people. This is an older area and does need some maintance. The food was excellent in the dining room. The pool and hot tub were okay. They have their own boat to go to Boldt Castle which was very nice. You can walk down to the shopping areas. A lot of the shops had closed down for the season but the ones left open are nice. Susan and her staff were very nice and helpful. I would go back again but make sure to check your room first.
I feel good !
Right from the start I was treated well. The courteous staff put us on the right foot starting with the reservations. The meals were delightful and the prices and portions were fair. I would do it again. Bill
We stayed at Bonnie Castle Resort last night. This is not a resort!!!
The rooms were terrible - filthy, no alarm clock. TV from the 70's - 19 inch if that. No PS or Nintendo or Movies available on the tv. Our room did have a vcr that they offered to rent movies to you for. We had water stains all over everything & dried on food on the "desk". Air Conditioner didn't work & couldn't open the windows because they had no screens. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool - would have been a great view if the windows ever got washed & you could see through them - the ones that were'nt broken & boarded up. Alex Bay is a great place - I've been there dozens of times and this is the only hotel in the area that I have not been 100% pleased with. Make the trip, just don't stay here.
Place needs repairs just to make it acceptable
The web site is totally misleading. The buildings and grounds are a disgrace. The owner should stick to fixing up the place instead of adding more properties. It is only a matter of time this place will fall apart
Choose another hotel at A Bay
This is not my first choice to stay in A Bay. The rooms are adequate at best. My sister-in-law was charged top dollar and when she entered the room there was scrambled eggs behind the door on the shag rug. The front desk was ambivalent.
I have rented a slip from them and this seems to be o.k....However be warned that you must bring your own towels if you utilize the shower.
Barely adequate for a very short stay..
Room accomodations are adequate. Brochure and website are totally misleading. This not a Resort Hotel by any stretch of the imagination. The property is shabby, we ate elsewhere as the dining room smelled. The pool is in the middle of the parking lot and poorly maintained. The gift shop is the size of a large closet.
We were in Alexandria Bay for a martial arts hall of fame banquet and tournament earlier this month and all of our party was to stay at the castle. After smelling the lobby and the uninformed staff we took the liberty of viewing our rooms. Oh my god I wish this was a "smell a review" It stunk so bad and was filthy. The pull out sofa had something vile squirted all over it and when I had called ahead to see if they would put an iron and ironing board in our room it turned out to be one of those table top ones that had a cover on it that was all shreaded. One of our other party said the room he was shown had a huge rip in the carpet all the length of the room. If we had stayed there we would have had to burn our clothes it smelled so bad. The food at the banquet was adequate but there was no offer of any beverage other that water and coffee and that we had to ask for. We had to pay for tea and soda. The recreation facility should have been condemned a few years ago and do the words broom and soap and water mean anything. We all ended up staying at the Pine Tree Resort and it is cute and quaint with a lovely staff. A little worn but just enough to give it character. We had prompt service and comfortable accomodations. I would stay there everytime I went up and our entire party agreed.
Peaceful & Beautiful
The setting at Bonnie Castle Resort is, I think, the most tranquil & beautiful of all the hotels. We had a great room right near the water right across from Bolt Castle. Can't wait to go back!
Bonnie Castle has a great restaurant with a lovely view and great food. The resort has lots going for it but if you are looking for a room that overlooks the water you might try somewhere else. Very few rooms have a water view or balcony close to the water.
