... the bra, Ritter's chocolate (one of Louise's favourites) and of course the birthplace of the Porsche, so a few good things came out of this industrial city. The black stallion in the logo of Porsche is a nod to the city's black horse logo derived from its origin as a horse stud for the king in around 900AD - hence its name, Stuttgart.

Our trip has officially begun in Stuttgart, Germany. We were welcomed by Nadya's lovely German friend, Jonas. But there were still crowds of people in the street. We walked to Palace Square with many historic buildings surrounding it. One of them being the Old Palace , formerly the residence of the kings of Wurttemberg with its ...

Today we went to visit Suzanne that I had met in Paris in 1984. She lives in a free standing house with her mom who lives downstairs. 2 other friends joined and after tea and cake we cracked the champagne and had a great afternoon. Tomorrow we are going on a Stuttgart tour with Ira's parents and my niece,Beatrix, who ...
