... of anything near a meaty **** would leave him poorly lacking. Therefore I had visions of him adapting the `crab` to include some more blue thrusts. Thankfully the slightly edgy atmosphere and the fact he was the only white guy in the place kept him softly jiggling on the edge of his seat rather than pouncing into the middle of the dance floor.

Cool first night in Belize and a complete and utter contrast to the more reserved atmosphere of Guatemala.

day 8

This morning we went to clinic with Dr Bernstein (The US nephrologist), with us was Steve (one of the US students) and Ethan (Dr Bernstein's son who’s doing Pre-med and Spanish so has been acting as an interpreteur)… A lot of people for one patient!!! All the patients were lovely though (and very patient with us) and we only saw three for the entire morning because there was a lot of chatting and a lot of teaching. It was very much ...

... br>We went down to our favourite Dangigra Beach resort this afternoon – whilst I hid from the sun as much as possible, Anwen got excited about the tanning stomach (You can see the line of her bikini shorts now apparently!!). We had dinner there too, and considering it’s the most westernised expensive resort in Dangriga…. Two drinks each plus our dinner came to around £15…. Not bad!

Day 3

... 8217;t lie on a beach, we lay on the decking with our feet dangling in the sea which, although is not quite clean yet, is about the temperature of a warm bath….and then we lay in some hammocks watching the little planes from the local airport take off right over our heads. It started to get dark so we headed for a restaurant recommended by our trusty lonely planet………..I say restaurant, it was more of a wooden wonky shack with 3 plastic tables ...

... The waitress recommended the Blackberry so that's what Nana ordered. It was pretty bad. Nana gamely drank most of the bottle. I confess to being afraid of a terrible hangover if I drank more than a glass so I held back. The meal wasn't much better (sweet and sour conch) and when I was in bed later it felt like I had a lead ball in my stomach. Oh well. It was a fun evening with lots of laughs.

Two hectares of tropical paradise- Tobacco Caye

... as the Belizeans call it (does this sound familiar!). The boat trip proved interesting. Our vessel was a small, open topped wooden fishing boat with a maximum capacity for 7 people, including the captain. Whilst quite fast its progress was constantly impeded by the rough sea. About every 10 seconds the boat would hit a a large wave, which would propel it upwards into the air, such that it crashed with a large thud onto ...

... and thanks for the prayers danielle Note from the Leaders: Parents: your girls are fantastic. We simply couldn't ask for a better team. They have taken everything with grace and patience and see it all as an adventure. Complaining is non-existance amongst our team, which is priceless. Today with the children they were simply wonderful - each had a child (or two) scooped up in her arms all day long, chasing them around and loving on them non-stop. Their energy is a beautiful thing.

... pineapple when I get it back in the US, but this pineapple was fresh enough that it had a very good flavor and I ate most of it. After breakfast, we grabbed plenty of water, sunscreen, and cash for lunch at one of the lodges along the river and met Eric, another of the Tut brothers, in the parking lot. He had already loaded a canoe on the Toyota truck for us and was ready to go. He drove us a few miles up the Cristo Rey road ...

... being worn inside a club. So basically I spent the whole evening sitting on my own in silence, whilst judging every single person I saw. I could go on and on about how much I hated the place, but I digress. So, back to Playa. As I have said before, the main reason for my lengthy stay in this town was the quantity and quality of people I met along the way, so I will take a little bit of time now to mention a few more of them... Actually, I will start with one I have ...
