This will be a fairly short entry since Peter and I cycled by ourselves today. Barry had proposed an alternate rout which was taken by Werner, Barry, Steve, Gilles, Don, Sue, Peter and I. Not sure where mark went although Peter and I did see him later. Tom, Linda, Dave, Michael, Wayne, Lori and Mesfin did the nominal. Turns out that Barry's route had a major climb to 1250, but it was an honest 5 to 6% ...

We picked up some drinks and snacks on the way back to the hotel to take the edge off before dinner at 8pm. We all ate at the hotel out on the patio. When I made that assessment I hadn't realized I would end up adding to what I anticipated doing, but that's what happened.

    Given last night's late ...

... looking for a place to get a bite of lunch, but all the places we tried were running Father's Day dinners and were full. Lori very kindly gave me a piece of her black bread and cheese, without which I would probably not completed the day. I tried to talk Peter and Lori into taking Barry's "alternate" route, to no avail, so on we went to tackle the third col which was supposed to be around 5% over 14 Kms. In my humble opinion, and that of most who did this climb, ...
