    ... our first sailing with Seaborn. This we did and it was a happy occasion for all. Special hor doevres, pink champagne and a time to meet other passengers. Of course we chatted to quite a number. It was fun :) Dinner again and then up on the top deck to watch the ship leaving port in the glow of evening! Next on to a 'show' in the 'Grand Salon' with a great vocalist - Toni Warne- a finalist on BBC's The Voice UK. Another most memorable day- ...

    ... luxury....)The highlight of our visit to Marseilles was Le Panier, a neighborhood with a colorful, seedy past that is currently undergoing a Williamsburg-like renaissance. New cafes, bars and boutiques line the steep, narrow walkways that have, for centuries, kept the area in economic isolation from the rest of the city. Most of all, Marseilles felt like a real city with its own purpose for existing outside the needs of tourists.

    ... mountain which featured in many of his landscape paintings. The soil in this area was a light terracotta colour and we drove past wineries, chateau's and olive trees. It is a lovely part of the world. As a special treat, we were told that we would also travel back to the ship via the beach areas which were close by. Our guide was trying to entice us back to this part of France for a longer holiday, I think. The "sand" here ...
