So day 2 in Ooty was another adventure. Still feeling confident and like an old hand now I went and got a bus with a couple from my hostel to find some waterfalls and a viewpoint that I had seen on a map over somoenes shoulder for about 5 seconds at breakfast. What could possibly go wrong with that? The first place was easy enough to find after surfing a bus on some crazy mountain roads for 30 mins. The waterfalls were nice and the whole place reminded me of Northumberland really. Then ...

... It has two chapels and three altars. The main altar is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary.

Church of St. Augustine. The tower of the church is 46 meters high. The church originally had 5 storeys, 8 chapels, 4 altars and an extensive convent with numerous cells. ... Perhaps we'll save the party mode for South East Asia. Palolem... we chill out.

And chill out we tried... we managed to do pretty well... although be forewarned... in the central area of the beach where we initially chose to set up camp we found ourselves in the heart of the tourist shops... so sadly, throughout the day we were forced to shoo away shop workers who were constantly approaching us to "come visit my shop, good prices for ...

Woke up extremely rough!! We had breakfast in the hotel and after we'd pulled round a bit we hired a scooter for £2.50 for the day and a few others also joined us, there was Mirko with Dane riding on the back of his scooter and Helene with Tark on the back of hers, he couldn't drive because he'd broken his toe from the night before, dancing. We headed out to find Anjuna beach, KV told us to just keep asking people along the way and they'll ...

... thirteen hours of travel we arrived to our pit stop destination of the town Ganpatipule on the Konkan coast centered on a modern temple. Its other impressive feature is the stretch of white sand beach extending across 6km. Our travel time should have been an hour less but for the fact the hotel we were looking for only had their sign in Hindi and when we asked for directions we were told to keep following the road to the end. At the end there was a hotel with ...
