While traveling through Ontario, today, we saw one moose, one black bear then a mother moose and two calves and then another moose! They were all safely away from the highway. Too fast for us to get a picture of though. More beautiful scenery of rugged rock cliffs and big lakes. We decided to take the more northern route on Highway #11. It's a little shorter and a lot quicker. Another long travel day puts us over halfway there! We're staying in Cochrane, ON ...

Happy Star Wars Day! "May the 4th be with you!" A more leisurely start to the day with a walk on the shore of Lake Superior & of course with a Ontario Tim's coffee in hand. Less kms today with only 700 behind us. One of the highlights of the day was a local beaver guiding us down the highway! How Canadian is that ...

As We begin our first day towards the prairies, densely packed pine forests, branches covered in snow, roll by through my ...

We have somehow made it through one day of the trip.....let's start at the beginning.

We managed to leave Toronto at 7:50am - and everything actually fit into the van!
Our first stop was a poopy diaper change...guess we'd better get used to that (and no it wasn't Andrew's poopy diaper....not this time).

We made it to our first rendez-vous at exactly 11:01am - David and Meg's house in Parry Sound. ...

... on these shows would build on, especially as they only ever think of Britain as a country with too many people for its too few acres.

The sun was beginning to set as we placed our napkins down, and a mass exodus followed towards the observation dome to see its reflection in one of the many lakes we’d passed, unfortunately the windows weren’t quite clean enough to give a crisp photo, but the majestic display caught by our rudimentary eyes ...
