      Off to Manchester after supper to be next to the airport for the early morning flight! Need to check in at 6.40 am (sigh)... But very excited to get on the way! Hoping for an upgrade due to it being my birthday (10th feb), however, will be very surprised if i get one! Fingers crossed. Etihad flight to Bangkok via Abu Dhabi ...

      We set off from Mirfield with little more intention than stopping off at Brighouse Basin to get some shopping in at the supermarket there, We hadn't decided how far we would go beyond there, but it was never going to be far - we were slow-timing to get to Sowerby Bridge on Friday when the lock keeper would be there to get us through Tuel Lock.

      ... spent the first ten minutes sorting out the myriad of electrical gadgets. James would first have to make sure that they had all charged properly. Then he would fix them to his bike.       Headed up to Manchester with my best friend Charlotte (we drove up), stayed in possible the most expensive and classiest hotel in Manchester (of course....
