... The cafes are so beautiful they are like mini- Versailles palaces. There are so many of them, each one more glittering than the last.
Noel was snapping away like a turtle with his camera , also in heaven !!!
Enjoy the pictures , we are off to the south of Turin now , 1hour away , to stay in the wine growing district of Barolo , in the very small 16th century town of La Morra for a week

Not much to say on this, we were both very disappointed with Turin. We felt that we done a lot of driving in the city for nothing really, its not the easiest place to get around.
The Bed and Breakfast that we stayed in was very nice , very clean and modern, no complaints there, her English was limited, but we were able to understand each other.

... a type of profiterole with their fruit salad I had semifreddo (yum). A long lunch in a courtyard in Piedmont is not a bad way to spend an afternoon. We weaved our way back to catch the bus back to Asti. Pity the passengers who had to share the bus with our rowdy mob. There are cars with horns blaring and shouting in the street - Juventus drew with Madrid so they are in the Champions League final. Happy Italian football fans ...
... these things are fun to study but still ridiculous. The chalets are adorned with all kinds of rubies, garnets, diamonds, emeralds and any other kind of jewel you can think of. They were truly beautiful until you think about how many people around the world are starving and homeless and how much better money could be spent. I only hope the church hasn't continued the same practices.

My last day in Italy was a good one, I started off the morning by grabbing some breakfast at the hostel. Then I went to the Museum of the Shroud of Turin. This is an awesome museum because for around 5 Euros you get your own personal audio device in your own language that takes you through the history of the Shroud.
