... towards the centre to the huge castello, which guarded the bridge across the river. The buildings are lovely with a mix of architectures from Roman to present day.
Dick was stuffed so we had coffee & moved on to the huge piazza on one face of which is the Roman theatre for which Verona is known for. Had a beer & walked slowly home for a rest.

... internal debate, I decided to take a train. My logic was that I would arrive there sooner and get to see the town more, and also not hurt myself but pushing too hard. Between not having done a ton of riding the last couple months and all the additional weight on my bike, I knew I wasn't going to be able to get through another 120km day.
The train took longer then I expected because I had to transfer at Verona Porta Nuova and wait ...
... tired so we headed back to the hotel after a stop at a grocery store for some snacks. A couple hours to relax and we went out for dinner at a restaurant just around the corner from our hotel. The Cangrande Restorante & Enoteca proved to be one of the best places we have eaten at so far on our trip. The owner spent time with us and suggested several things to try. ... four hours spent wandering around went quickly with the many stops we made. We found ourselves hungry and stopped near our hotel for dinner at a small restaurant for an okay dinner of spaghetti con vongole (spaghetti with clams) and risotto with shrimp. Not worth recommending but the waiters were friendly and humorous.
Back to our hotel about seven after a fun day of Vino in Verona.
