I woke up to the doorbell, which I wasn't happy about until I found out that it was the driver delivering breakfast. Yeah! We had bowza, which is a steamed bread ball with a filling. These ones had pork and onions. Sounds like a strange breakfast, but it is yummy!

... This afternoon turned into a "clear" day for Chongqing and I was able to get a better picture from the apartment balcony.

I met another Ford family today. We hung out with Jody during the day and I met the rest of the family this evening. Their kids go to an international school and it sounds like they have some amazing opportunities. Their daughter is going to Barcelona and Prague this school year! ...

... that it was over run with people (tourists like me- but all Chinese). Came back on the Metro and rather than just staying on line one I transferred to line 2 so I could ride on the metro that is more like a skyway - no rails. Very good and probably a lot cheaper to build than a conventional rail metro. (photos later). Lots of impressive bridges crossing the two rivers that flow through the city. The Chinese sure know how to build bridges. ...

... Chinese costume and had the opportunity for a photograph.

The dining room had been beautifully decorated with colourful table runners and a pair of Chinese dragons. All the dining room staff were in very smart red waistcoats. The meal included number of courses featuring different regional cuisines. The highlights for me were beef in black bean sauce (beautifully tender), abalone with mushrooms, dumplings with pork, and fruit pancake for dessert.
