... this period of year there are mostly aged people resting there, however I noticed there a lot of clubs near the beaches, so I consider that in summer this town is full of students. The beaches are sandy and what is important all those beaches are public. And one more thing - there are NO PRIVATE BEACHES in Lloret de Mar!
Lloret de Mar, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands eleoshka... are really good at building blocks of flats, so there are loads of those around too. I live in a really big house with a Catalan women, her boyfriend and another lodger. It´s about 20 minutes walk from the school. Feels a bit like we´re in the countryside cos you can hear roosters crowing in the morning and there are 2 big alsatians for company in the house. It´s pretty cold here, way colder than madrid (which was high 20s every day ...
Granollers, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands dave-mcgowan... at Roses looked much better with a lot more seafood included.
After lunch we set off up to the castle, inside its walls are numerous little houses which are still inhabited, although the satellite dishes were rather incongruous! After all this exercise it was time for a cocktail followed by a spot of shopping before eventually heading back to L’Escala.
cerca!
desp escribo desde la muralla!

As if the Dali Museum wasn't cool enough, the next stop was two little villages on the Mediterranean coast called Portlligat and Cadaques. Dali lived in Portlligat and his house has since been turned into a museum, complete with big eggs on the roof (Dali was big on big eggs-they were all over the place at the Dali Museum). We drove up this tiny mountain road (which was interesting in a really big bus...) and as we were going over a hill, the ...

We then headed back to town to drop off the car...no real dramas other than v heavy traffic.
We then went on to the Sagrada Familia Cathedral - that was started in late 1800's and only has 25-30 ...
... tip). I walk to the beach, use a flight bag to cover it, lock it and use a special steel cord that I have to attach it to a parking chain, just below a bridge. Anyone with a sharp knife and intent could steal it. But, it is so large that it would be very obvious. I change clothes at the beach and spend the day walking around.
The highlight is a 12th-century walled town along the hill and the coastline. I walk along the top of the ...
... feel like i am touching the sun. We went back to the campsite bar hoping to further develop our representations. Unfortunately nothing was going on and we soon left. After this we bravely approached a group of girls (of which none of them i was interested in Tiff because you are amazing) on the beach but due to a lack of language skills ...
Santa Susanna, Catalonia, Spain chris_jones01... busted into a campsite to enjoy some free entertainment. We danced like fools amongst people on family holidays. After taking it up a peg and getting up on stage the DJ started to play happy birthday!!!! unfortunately no one joined in due to a lack of popularity gained from dancing offensively and clearing the dance floor by smelling really really bad. Although all was good because a group of mums asked olly to take his top off.
Santa Susanna, Catalonia, Spain chris_jones01... at the other end of the city beach and saw the amazing view from there. I proceeded to jump some fences to look closer at the castel and the view of the city. Behind me was a huge villa house on the beach with a private pool and garden. It was sweet! I hopped back over and went into town to get a bite to eat and a few souvenirs. Then I caught the bus to the train station to head for Barcelona in time to make the FC Barcelona game!
