Old travel lodge converted into a unique boutique hotel with a fabulous bar with interesting cocktails and appetizers. We stayed in the suite at the end of the building, which was nice b/c we have two teenagers. They were able to have their own beds and my husband and I had our own bedroom. It had a kitchenette and a big bathroom with a great shower and bath tub. Nice towels too! Good for walking around Boise.

Rarely in my travels do I find a place where I would contemplate relocating. Boise is one of those places. It is so well laid out and easy to navigate, yet it has great restaurants, shops, a great outdoor theater, easy access to trails and mountains and skiing. Also, has a fun farmer's market on Saturday mornings with local produce and other items …

Kind of a low day after all of our past running. Mike and I went to do some shopping at Walmart to pickup supplies for our trip to the mountains. They just opened a new Freddy's so I had to introduce Mike to the best hamburgers and fries.

Barb and Connie stayed home to make 2 large lasagnas for dinner. Heather, M and C's daughter and her family came over for a lasagna fest. They brought great bread and cheese ...

... to be in a place so awesome. And with all the wool they have, you just add a layer to your clothes and before you know it, you're sweating. Sheep are everywhere. And they're super cute. Same with ravens- they're everywhere. And yes, they're ravens, not crows, which makes it sound cooler anyway.

Driving on the other side of the road in the wrong side of the car was entertaining- but fun (I wasn't the driver...sorry, Matt). Since the country is so old, the roads are about ...

... was also the reason for the change in departure time. We near the trolley as the other group is getting off. They are organizing themselves for a group shot and someone barks at those of us to move out of their frame. I guess these are not locals.

Finally they are on their way and we are able to board the trolley. Heidi makes sure that we are the first ones on since we were the first there waiting. We get our choice of seats and I suggest ...

He thought one with a slide out key pad would be good for texting, but we have determined that he has sausage like fingers that don't match that tiny buttons. The driver's license is a hang over from the rush to get out of town. Ted needed to get a motorcycle license added to his regular driver's license because we bought this slightly larger scooter for this trip. The one we had before that he drove to work for the last five years was 125cc and ...
