    Race Day

A travel blog entry by legoodtimesroll on Jul 10, 2015

... After a celebratory drink we made our way back to the bus stop and managed to buy some tickets this time. The younger generation slept the whole journey , anyone would have thought they had done a triathlon. We stocked up at the supermarket with BBQ food and more beer, before returning back to base camp. As usual Duncan was in charge of an excellent BBQ and I wrongly thought we had bought too much food and drink. Evening games ended a very successful day ...

... We packed the bikes, packed our gear, and headed to bed for an early night, as we are leaving the hotel for our flight to Bastia, at 4.30 am. Friday We got up at 4.00 am, and the hotel shuttle took us and our bike boxes the 5 min drive to the airport. Our flight to Bastia was uneventful, just 55 mins, and we collected our luggage and bike boxes, and conveniently the bus into town had storage holds underneath, and we were able to put the bike boxes there for the 22 km trip ...

I couldn't buy too much as I had to carry it up the hill so I had to wait for Graham to come back with the car to do a beer and wine shop. The family were arriving tonight and expected the fridge to ...

Village wild camping spot. Not much to say other than this was probably the blackest quietest stopover this hols. I love wild camping. No street lights and no rustling from next door! We slept like bent planks after our 4 courses and several different wines, all white except for a local Jura I was offered with my Duck! We opted for the novel idea of letting the Wine Waiter choose from two different wines for each ...

    Even my mom agrees

A travel blog entry by alanad.abroad on Feb 25, 2015

Today I decided that we needed to go for a walk. I've been eating so much cheese and bread that I needed some exercise. We just walked around our area and checked out the shops. I love doing this. It lets one see so much. I saw some neat clothing shops. Riley enjoyed strolling over some cobble sidewalks and I checked out the architecture. There’s just so much to see. ...
