We were extremely lucky to find the very last slot, picking up the end lazyline and parking nose onto the land. Moreover, we were within 50 yards of the facilities and to crown it all, the free washing ...

... Brits again! They are based near Falmouth and have many, many years’ sailing experience. Jake is an ex-navy captain and one time, they lived for a couple of years in Annapolis, where he taught navigation in the US navy school there, so quite close to my sister & her family, across the Chesapeake on Kent Island, Maryland.

Later on, once the Backus’ had left, we had a chilli and watched an episode of 'Mrs Brown’s Boys’. Great fun and the end to a lovely ...
