South Male Atoll PO BOX 2014 South Male Atoll, Kaafu Atoll, Maldives, 2014
... turtles, sharks, sting rays, even the whale shark. If you never dived before, you can start now, as almost every resort has its diving school and you can take the first PADI course which lasts about 4-5 days and costs around 500-550 dollars.
If you think of trying some of the optional trips, do so, they are very nice. Go fishing, go snorkeling, even if you dive, go on a local island, and don't miss the dinner on a deserted island ...
... the whole island was surrounded with a coral reef that we spent hours everyday snorkelling around. We saw SO many fish and even a few reef sharks and sting rays.. oh, and a couple of turtles taking it easy. They are so amazing to watch under water. Pure paradise... but just don't even mention the price of things! This was truly a once in a lifetime for us and we recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants to forget about life for a while!

We arrived on 20th October and had to wait around for the seaplane for several hours which was a shame but the seaplane journey is definitely worth it. Maldives, Maldives rueng84Been a stressful time since our last entry I must say. The Maldives is hell, everyone kept making us surf perfect right handers in 30 degree water as well as get waited on hand and foot............. its hard, I know! So, we have been through a fair few places since we last spoke, when we leftt you in Rajistan. After that we hopped over to Sri Lanka and after a few nights in Colombo (dodging more bombs!) we took a train south..... 3 hour journey cost 40p..we were like ...
