Gilly's useless Satnav!

Before we left Strasburg we visited RSI Video Technologies, a company that supplies goods to Gilly's employer Clive, as Gilly wanted to meet the people that he spends a lot of time on the phone with doing business.

They were very friendly and we were supplied with croissants and coffee before being given a tour around the factory which Gilly found very interesting even if Les and myself did not!!

... are boards offering to take you cruising. We find a bar with wifi and have a beer whilst we try to email Tylos Ferries re: getting from Iran to India. The emails bounce back, we will have to try again with the laptop, perhaps I wrote the addresses down wrong. The country side planted in rows of either grapes or apples. The apple trees are kept very low only about 5 foot and are laden with ripe ...

... On the way we were treated to
cheese and wine.

On arrival we were shown up to our own private dining room
for a very fancy lunch. Corinne’s brother and his wife, Urs and Regula,
serenaded both Corinne and Grandfather, whilst other relatives recited home
written poems about the two of them. All very formal and all very in German. A
three course meal later we all said our good byes and headed on our separate
ways.

... maize. We soon realized that cycling aimlessly wasn’t going to get us anywhere
fast except lost and tired so we decided to catch a ferry back to Constance,
and this is where the fun started.

Problem one, we had no Euros and the ticket guys wouldn’t
accept Swiss Francs.

The first hour of the drive from Lauterbrunen northwest to Austria was very interesting with farms and pretty towns and even a Swiss horn player practising on the roadside on a mountain pass but once we got closer to the big cities of Lucerne and Zurich we stuck to the motorways. There wasn’t much to see other than huge industrial sites and the insides of tunnels. The Swiss sure do tunnels well. We must have done 40 plus in the two days we drove through Switzerland. ...
