Woke up at 6,30am not sure where we are as we are just moving very slowly could be we are waiting to go through another lock or for a berthing slot in Breisach as the itinerary said we'd arrive in the early hours. Just put the bow cam on and it is a lock, it can't be much further though as we left Strasbourg at 10pm last night. Finally arrived in Breisach 4 hours late, we feel for the Captain whose been on duty 11hours now navigating us safely through a ...

In the afternoon we had "drinkies" and food then listened to Roy's music in the evening where we were joined by our fellow campers next door who were German. We couldn't understand one another but we managed by sign language and smiles. We enjoyed ourselves 'til about 12.30am and called ti a night.

Well, now that it has been a week here at Ponde Rosa, I feel like I can do the absolutely must-have entry of my everyday duties as a WWOOFer here on a horse ranch.

The day starts at 7:30. I get woken up not by the Rooster (unnamed, thus I have dubbed him "Hefner," on account of all his chicks running around him all the time) but by my phone alarm clock. By 8:00 we are all (Rosa, Peter, and sometimes Antonia) eating breakfast of bread, cheese, and meat, ...
