Commenced today's at 8am in the rain. It was the first rain we have experienced whilst walking and fortunately it was not heavy. Lasted 2 hours or so and allowed to test the poncho for leaks and to ensure that the waterproof shoes are indeed that. Both checked out okay. ... appreciated. At one point the next town was 4.5 ks away i could see it, and it was a dead straight track all the way there. I an still a few days ahead of around about where i think i should be to finish in time to get my backside over to Barcelona to meet Joelene so tomorrow is going to be an easier day of only 15 to 17 ks. The walk to St Juan de Ortega was beautiful today! The majority was on natural tracks through fields and up hills with views across the mountains; my favourite kind :)
