Nettes Hotel fast direkt an der Bay, aber mit gutem Blick von unserem Balkon auf die Bay.

... A.K.A. Bigfoot. Alexa has seen Finding Bigfoot on Animal Planet. She decided to fasten a long stick to my backpack. If Bigfoot grabbed her, the stick would fall and I would know she needs help. She is rather gullible, but it was cute.

We stopped at the visitor’s center, stop #3. Someone noticed Brad’s UM hat and asked where we were from. This happens all of the time from coast to coast and beyond. They were originally ...

... he had many customers because he was super excited to help us out finding the camp site.

Once we got there, next on the list was picking a spot and setting up camp. We had a look at the map which indicated 11 individual camping spots and there were only 5 cars in the car park other than our own. With this in mind we left without any bags just to decide where to go. We ended up camping in spot 10/11 which unfortunately was not directly on the river, as the other 10 spots were ...

Also, people like to bring their dogs here and let them run free. Its cute to see because the dogs are sooooo happy you can tell! I even had one little dog come up to me when I was sitting down to say hi. The happiest dogs I have ever seen have been at this beach. It is so cool to see them so free and happy. Its very good energy.

The people who come to this beach seem to be mellow and kind too, which is nice.

... The endless twists of Highway 1 require a lot of concentration. No margin for error. Over
3 hours of driving to do the approximate 100 mile trip.

... as we visited it for it is in memory of a little boy who died at 7 years of age..... a bell rang as I tossed my quarter to the ground where others lay.

Highway 1 is definitely an adventure -- thank goodness the fog shrouded my view of the rugged shore below (far below me in places) on this chiefly narrow and winding road... and whoever would think of letting cattle roam on ranches so near this narrow road....
