Never do it again!

1.I bought 14 day stay in this 3 star hotel for may us vacation with wife and 6 months baby by expedia. I stayed 17 days because we came3 days earlier. 2.Elevator was out of order for 2 days. I had to use "staff elevator  without valid "operational license" in it (expired in 2002). 3. Broken glass on the floor in room (broken not by us) in the room - it took 2 days to make room clean. 4. Balcony - never cleaned during our stay 17-days stay. 5. A lot of other problems  restaurant bill to high(nat according the menu), phone not working, light bulb not working. etc. 6 Swimming pool  cold water. 7. Manager was not interested in solving problem or listening to my opinion  he has  hundreds  of good responses from other customers,  you can change hotel if you like . 8. On the same federal highway I use Best Western  totally opposite standard then in Boca Raton Hotel Plaza and Suites.

Well for one florida is fantastic visited nov 19-23 2003. But this is not a hotel it is a motel and it is not close to anything really at all you must have a rental car if you stay here and the staff is so hesitant to do anything we had to beg for towels,toilet paper, and clean sheets, Just don't forget it may be cheaper than others (in many ways)but you get what you pay for.
The Plaza, a great place to stay

Since I was traveling alone to go visit my daughter I had great concerns about the safety and condition of the hotel I would be staying at. I found the Plaza to suit my needs and felt safe there. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. I would gladly stay there again while visiting the Boca area.
Great value

Stayed for 2 nights in October and found the hotel excellent value. Had an issue with the room that we were offered, this was sorted immediately and with a smile, can't expect more! The staff were friendly both on reception and in the restaurant. Would not hesitate to stay here again when next in the area.
Nice Hotel

Picked this hotel at random from the Internet. Liked the pictures of the rooms. Booked for four nights, early September . We were not dissapointed with our choice. Rooms were excellent, service was good and the staff were helpful and friendly. Location was good for access to all amenites. When passing through this area again would check in to this hotel.

For us, past reviews proved to be misleading: during our short stay, the staff were inept and unprofessional, from the receptionists who never lifted their heads to greet the guests, to the general manager (Gary Overfield) blocking guests' way into the hotel with his arm akimbo, threatening to throw them out. * The only fruit the hotel had were oranges (that is what the room service people claimed), and they could not make an esspresso because they "were waiting for someone to come and fix the machine". They would give you big sighs when asked to bring you something, probably to let you know what an inconvenience it was for them. * Some staff asked inappropriate questions, such as "What sort of operation have you just had?" (and were offended when the reply was "It's none of your business"). * One of the receptionists (Karen) was unable to make sure a taxi was in front of the hotel at the desired time - it came to early, and beacuse we couldn't make it quickly enough, the taxi left. She was then unable to organise another one, because the taxi company was unwilling to send the second cab. It never occurred to her that she could have called another taxi company. (Maybe the hotel has some sort of agreement with the Yellow Cab to use only them?) * Despite the "do not disturb" sign displayed on our door, the maid would call us on the phone, because we had to "sign her port". * Probably worth mentioning is also the fact that the hotel's website is unfinished, and misleading in that it devotes considerable space to the Mizner Shopping Center, which makes you believe that the hotel is a part of, or at least close to Mizner, when in fact the Center is more than 10 blocks away. This letter is in response to the review posted by a tripadvisor in Tampa, FL. The review is signed H.L. Hall but this is not the person who wrote it. I will refer to this person as Ms X. Ms X was never a registered guest of this hotel but I definately remember her. It is my belief that she was a caretaker of a registered guest who had some type of eye surgery. Her behavior was so disturbing I called a plastic surgeon that regularly sends patients with caretakers to us. Ms X however did not work for the doctor. The incident that provoked Ms X's review started when Ms X asked Karen at the front desk to have a cab waiting for her at the lobby. Karen told her a cab would take fifteen to twenty minutes to arrive. When the cab arrived Karen called the room But Ms X said she was not ready. The cab driver waited another five minutes then left. When Ms X arrived in the lobby she asked where her cab was. Karen told her it had left and offered to call another cab. Ms X became very hostile and began verbally abusing both Karen and Jackie, the other clerk on duty. When Karen called the cab company a second time Ms X took the phone to talk to the cab company herself. She again was very abusive to the point that the person from the cab company hung up on her. She then called another cab company using her cell phone. Karen informed me of the incident and I reviewed both the audio and video from our lobby cameras. When I saw Ms X returning to the hotel in the cab I went outside to speak with her. I told Ms X that she was to apolagize to my front desk staff for her appalling behavior or she would need to leave the following day by 11:00am. She chose to leave the next morning. We deal with many people at this hotel. I have hundreds and hundreds of comment cards that have nothing but praise for our establishment. Ms X is without doubt the most obnoxious, condescending, vituperative person we have had at this property since we opened in January, 2003 and I have the video and audio to prove it. The reason I went outside to speak with Ms X was to avoid another tirade by her in the lobby. I can assure you I have never "blocked" or "threatened" anyone from entering our hotel. This accusation is completely false as are most, if not all, the other statements made by Ms X in her review. Very Friendly Staff and Comfortable Room

I had the pleasure of residing at this lovely hotel during a 10 day vacation in Boca Raton. The staff was wonderful, especially the lovely people who worked in the restaurant. The food was absolutely delectable, and only outdone by the food servers. The hotel management went out of their way to see that I was well cared for and comfortable. My room had everything I needed, was clean and pleasant. I highly recommend it as a place to call your temporary home.
FANTASTIC HOTEL

I had a great time. The hotel is located on Federal Hwy in East Boca close to everything. The property is beautiful, the pool & hot tub are great and the restaurant & bar is the best kept secret. Breakfsat, lunch, and dinner is served daily and there is limited room service. There is no better value for the money.
What A Deal & Great Restaurant

I booked this hotel through the internet and was very pleased with rate.The housekeeping was great the hospitality was a great experiance for my wife and kids. We had breakfast & dinner two times.The happy hour was great and the family style dining was really nice.There is a full business center in the lobby that has high speed iternet for free.My wife and i spent alot of time at the pool side TIKI Bar while the kids were in the pool . I cant say enough the place is a great deal.
