      ... lo and behold, we were in the tiny village of Skalni Mlyn, full of hundreds of day trippers out to visit the nearby famous Punkva caves, and eat ice cream!! These caves are part of the Moravian Karst (limestone) system in the Central Czech Republic, a large heritage protected area.       ... the reception area is in the inner courtyard in the middle of the building but there is a domed glass roof over what would have been open to the elements! The lifts are on the outside of the building, they are all glass & steel, Lana was a bit queasy going up in it and looking out into nothing!! Went for a wander through the centre of Brno which is only a rats throw from our luxurious Barcelo Brno Palace ...

      ... meals. We finished up with a local red wine which was also 1st class, equal of a $30 red back home! This hotel is relatively new and quite flash, our bedroom is huge by normal standards. They all speak English, to some degree, but with a helluva accent which is hard to understand not like Hungary where there language makes understanding their English so much easier. But this is an adventure and one has to be prepared for all ...

      This cave was very beautiful and you climb up through the cave then descend down to the bottom of the Macocha Abyss. This is spectacular as you look up towards the top (where we later visited).       ... and where they are and what they are doing. At Auschwitz the images came into my head of death, malnourished people, disease, and more terrible things. All this was before we even got to the true death part of the camp where there where the gas chambers and crematoriums. Here there was a memorial because it was where all the ashes of the millions of people killed were. I really can not explain the feeling of this because in front of me later ...
